03 February 2023 – Release here

Olleco is thrilled to announce the construction of a state-of-the-art used cooking oil processing plant in East London at the Stolthaven Terminals facility in Dagenham.

The new plant will not only strengthen our ability to serve our customers in the south-east of England, but also create opportunities for collaboration with our new partnership, Olleco Bunge, throughout the EU.

The location of the plant, next to Stolthaven’s terminal on the Thames, aligns with our shared commitment to support sustainable energy solutions and is an important step forward in Stolthaven’s commitment to their sustainability strategy.

Ciara O’Keeffe O’Donovan, Olleco Executive Member, said “This is an exciting next step for Olleco. The new facility will deliver efficient conversion of our waste oil, whilst adding capacity to facilitate our continued growth. We’re delighted to partner with Stolthaven, a company that aligns with our values and are committed to the renewable agenda.”

Pim van den Doel, Commercial and Business Development Manager, said: “We are pleased to welcome Olleco to our Stolthaven Dagenham terminal. Together with our sister companies, Stolt Tankers and Stolt Tank Containers, we provide safe, integrated storage and handling solutions to the biofuel industry. Our partnership with Olleco highlights the significance of waste oil in the production of biofuels and the role we play in the supply chain. In recent years, we have invested significantly in the Dagenham terminal – including a new jetty due for completion this year – to ensure we continue to support and serve our customers in the transition to sustainable products and alternative fuels.”
