Road to the oil refiner on blue sky in sunset time

March 1 2022 – Release here

HGA announced today that it was named as Owner’s Representative and Program Management Consultant (PMC) for the Louisiana Green Fuels (LGF) project by Strategic Biofuels LLC in Columbia, Louisiana. Due to the complex nature of the project, Strategic Biofuels needed an owner’s engineer to monitor, review, and report on their engineering integrator and EPC contractor’s performance. HGA will execute PMC services, including technical consulting and project management through the complete front-end loading, engineering, procurement, commissioning, and plant start-up lifecycle.

“We are proud to be selected by Strategic Biofuels to work on their carbon negative renewable diesel plant in northern Louisiana”, said Frank Gay, vice president of HGA’s owner’s representative business unit. “HGA’s Owner’s Representative Services experience, coupled with our talented resources positioned us well for this innovation journey towards producing more sustainable fuels.”

HGA’s scope of work involves end-to-end project management services and independent project evaluation and recovery planning, the provision of multi-discipline engineering/technical subject matter experts, front-end loading three support, commercial support, and project finance support. The LGF project will be fully supported by VistaTRAK, HGA’s project tracking, and reporting service. HGA will execute the LGF Project from personnel in its Houston and Ruston offices, with support from other HGA locations. A team has already mobilized and is supporting the client on the project.

“HGA’s highly specialized, consultancy background coupled with its breadth and depth of experience strengthens the world-class team we’ve assembled for our Louisiana Green Fuels project,” said Dr. Paul Schubert, Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Biofuels. “We are already seeing the benefits of HGA’s support and have full confidence in their team to help us achieve the highest standards in quality, effectiveness, and timeliness in achieving the project’s milestones.”

About Strategic Biofuels
Strategic Biofuels LLC is a team of energy, petrochemical, and renewable technology experts focused on developing a series of deeply negative carbon footprint plants in northern Louisiana that convert waste materials from managed forests into renewable diesel fuel and renewable naphtha. The fuel qualifies for substantial Carbon Credits under the Federal Renewable Fuel Standard Program and under the California Low Carbon Fuels Standard.

About Louisiana Green Fuels
Louisiana Green Fuels is the first project by Strategic Biofuels LLC in Northern Louisiana at the Port of Columbia in Caldwell Parish. The plant and its accompanying Class VI Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) wells will be the first renewable diesel project in North America to achieve “negative” carbon emissions. The feedstock for the plant is forestry waste from managed and sustainable forests.
